Christmas Shopping or the lack thereof

Ok , I’m going to be honest, I was a total washout on Christmas shopping this year, I ordered a bunch of Amazon gift cards and I’m done! I just didn’t feel like shopping this year, in a family of mostly adults I honestly feel like that might be a better option than a sweater in the wrong size or socks of any size ! I had 3 days off last week that would have been ideal for shopping but instead I rested, although retailers would argue I’m not so sure the gift of me rested and happy isn’t a better gift to my family!ย  The whole retail experience as it relates to the holidays borders on insanity in my opinion anyway, how much of the things we buy will be remembered, loved or even used. Granted socks will get used but will there be giddy joy as we remember who gave them, likely not !

If you have waited this long to shop, especially online you have severely limited options that likely are overpriced and may or may not arrive in time.ย  I ran across a site that amused me , selling last-minute gifts, some of these are fun and I enjoyed looking through the list but mostly I enjoyed the title of the list ๐Ÿ™‚ “The โ€˜Oh Sh*tโ€™ Gift Guide for Procrastinators”. Even if you’re not shopping, I find this list really fun ! Heads up though this list was put up in 2017 so I have no idea if any of this still being sold. This list is being shared mostly tongue in cheek to promote some joy and happiness ๐Ÿ™‚

Pretty fun list , huh ? Honestly I’m almost sure the Amazon gift cards will be better liked than anything chosen from this list, in general I think adults enjoy choosing their own things ๐Ÿ™‚
